Cover File and Size

Welcome to my custom book cover ordering page. Here, you can have a digital ebook cover designed to your specific needs and preferences. My covers are in JPEG format and are made to the proportions of 6 x 9 inches, with a resolution of 3200 x 4800 pixels. This size works well for Amazon and I also provide a smaller cover of 1600 x 2400 pixels for platforms such as Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, and Kobo.

In addition to ebook covers, paperback/print versions can also be ordered once the ebook cover is completed. For more information on ready-to-upload paperback covers, please refer to this page.

Unless otherwise requested, the above sizes and file type will be used for your cover. However, please note that I do not provide PSD files with open layers. This is due to stock image terms, as well as the fact that my covers are not simply cutouts against backgrounds, but rather manipulated and merged images where elements cannot be easily moved or replaced.

The designs are optimized to be attractive when viewed in a small size, as most ebook websites display images at approximately 1.5 x 2 inches on a computer screen.

Models

My pricing includes up to two characters per cover and I am able to do headswaps and body-composites as required.

Payment

Payment for custom orders can be made through PayPal or Payoneer, and a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required before starting on the project.

Stock Images

I guarantee exclusive rights to the cover design, but please note that I cannot guarantee exclusive rights to any particular stock image used, as they are licensed from stock image sites. However, I do purchase image licenses legally and use high-resolution, high-quality images from a variety of general and specialist sites, with the exception of a few highly expensive ones. Stock images are included in the price unless you require special exclusive stock from a photographer or from an expensive site like Getty images.

I have credits with a variety of stock sites – if you wish to search for an image please ask and I will let you know where I am purchasing from at the moment.

I also work with Daz renders, but due to time constraints, I commission a render artist to do so. One custom model render is included in the cover design price, but additional models will require additional payment. Already-rendered Daz stock is included unless it is very expensive.

Please note that different stock image sites have different license restrictions, such as a limit of 500,000 designs per license. My covers come with a standard image license, but if you anticipate selling more than 500,000 copies of a book, you may need to purchase an extended license. This can be obtained by the author from the relevant stock site.

It is important to note that a standard stock image license allows for ebook and paperback book covers, as well as related web and printed advertising materials such as banners, brochures, and cards. However, it does NOT allow for products such as t-shirts and coffee mugs where the image alone becomes the main attraction of the item. For this, you will need to purchase an extended license. Failure to do so is at your own risk and I will not be held responsible.

Turnaround Time

I work quickly and only accept a limited number of custom orders at a time. Covers are completed within 2 days to a week, depending on feedback from the author and the number of alterations required. I am patient and work closely with authors to ensure their satisfaction.
